Welcome to the world of Sally-ann's Photography

I believe that imagination is stronger than knowlege-
That myth is more potent than history.
I believe that dreams are more powerful than facts-
That hope always triumphs over experience-
That laughter is the best cure for grief.
And I believe that love is stronger than death.'

Sally-ann Fowler Born February 21, 1953 in Warwickshire, England.

The youngest daughter of Margaret and Leo, she has two older sisters Sandy and Sue. Growing up in different parts of England including, Sutton Coldfield, The Vale of Evesham, Hastings, London and Dorset inspired her love of travel and natures majesty.

Migrating to Western Australia in 1972, just after her marriage in England, followed shortly after by her parents who soon began work to construct an amazing Elizabethan village in the hills outside Perth, Western Australia, including a full size replica of Shakespeare’s birth place and Ann Hathaway’s Cottage.

Now divorced, Sally-ann has three adult sons and five grandchildren. She lived for 4 years on the east coast of Tasmania, Australia with her youngest son Simon, where she spent much of her time beach combing, poetry writing and capturing unique moment’s of natural magnificence via the lens of her camera.

Having family in Western Australia, Victoria and Queensland she has traveled interstate often with her camera.

She is now living on the Gold coast, Queensland. Living closer to some member of her family.

Comments by Simon on his time on the East Coast of Tasmania :

My mother and I have been living on the east coast of Tasmania for over two years now and I can truthfully say that it is a hidden corner of paradise.

Many times I would go surfing at various locations along the coast, often at such times my mother armed with her camera would tag along. While I was anticipating the next set of waves, she would be anticipating her next shot. Her camera ever at her side, she reminds me of some kind of female gunslinger, continuously enthralled with the natural wonders around her, she often describes the experience as a “massage to her soul”.

Here breathtaking mountain ranges with spectacular waterfalls and untrodden rainforests sweep right down to the ocean, the magnificent beaches stretch endlessly along the coastline.

St Helen’s, peaceful with the drowsy beauty of George’s Bay, dotted with small yachts and fishing boats, possesses an unmistakable innocence and warm friendliness reminiscent of a bygone era.

The quaint little town of St Mary’s, perched on top of the mountains, with two passes winding down to the ocean, attracts many artists and writers.  There are a lot of hidden treasures in this area that the casual traveler will probably miss, most likely assuming he can see it all in a few days, however to drink in this splendor takes time and such a taste would only leave him thirsting for another visit.

Take a glimpse of what my mother has captured in this hidden corner.
